About Derweshi Rah

Derweshi Rah is not just an Instagram page, a poetry platform, or a digital brand. It is a journey. A journey that started quietly, without any plan of going viral, without any desire for fame, and without any intention of building a large audience. It began with one simple purpose: to save and share the Sufi and Derweshi poetry that touched my own heart.

My name is Aamar Liaqat. I am a student of Tasawwuf and Islamic spirituality. For the last 8 years, I have been learning, reading, questioning, struggling, and trying to understand the path of the heart. Books have always been a major part of my journey. Over the years, I have built a personal library of around 4,000 books, and through reading, reflection, and personal struggle, I kept searching for answers to the same questions many people are asking today:

For years, I searched for direction. And later, I realized that thousands of people were standing at the same point where I once stood. That is where Derweshi Rah truly began.

How Derweshi Rah Started

Derweshi Rah was started in September 2025 on Instagram. At that time, the purpose was very personal. I created the page only to collect and preserve my favorite Sufi poetry in one separate place. It was not started for views. It was not started for followers. It was not started to become a viral page. It was simply a small corner for the words that moved my own heart.

But something unexpected happened. The first few poetry reels received more love than I had imagined. Then, around the fifth poetry reel, one of the videos crossed 100,000+ views. For me, this was surprising and unusual. I had never expected that poetry I was saving for myself would reach so many hearts. As people started responding to stories and sending messages, I began to understand something deeper. People were not only enjoying poetry. They were searching for direction.

Many followers were asking the same questions again and again:

That was the turning point. I realized that this page could no longer remain only a poetry collection. It had become a trust. A responsibility. A place where people were coming with real spiritual questions. From there, the story of Derweshi Rah truly started.

Why We Continue This Journey

The mission of Derweshi Rah is simple:

To give direction to hearts that are searching for Allah. We know that many people today are spiritually tired. They are surrounded by social media, comparison, overthinking, emotional pain, loneliness, distractions, and constant pressure. Many people love Sufi poetry and spiritual words, but they do not know how to turn that feeling into real change. They feel something, but they do not know what to do next. Derweshi Rah was created to help with that next step. Our aim is not to make people dependent on poetry, emotions, or personalities. Our aim is to guide people back to the foundations of the deen: Quran, Hadith, zikr, tawbah, sincerity, self-purification, good character, and daily spiritual discipline. We believe that true Tasawwuf is not separate from Islam. It is not a mysterious path outside the deen. It is the inner work of Islam: purifying the heart, correcting the intention, controlling the nafs, remembering Allah, and living with humility, sincerity, and awareness. This is the message we try to share through our poetry, books, guides, tasks, and programs.

What We Have Created So Far

By the mercy of Allah and the love of our audience, Derweshi Rah has grown into a community of more than 57,000 followers in just 8 months, with around 160 reels shared on Instagram. But our work did not stop at poetry.  As the audience grew, we started creating short spiritual programmes and practical learning resources.

Some of the programmes and series our audience loved include:

Tazkiya-e-Nafs

A programme focused on understanding and purifying the nafs.

Allah Ka Qurb

A reminder-based journey about coming closer to Allah.

Thak Gaye Ho Na?

A healing series for tired hearts, emotionally exhausted souls, and people struggling silently.

Daily Tasks

Simple spiritual actions that people can practice in daily life.

Many people not only liked these programmes but also acted upon them. That showed us that people do not only need content. They need structure. They need reminders. They need practical steps. This is why we started creating downloadable resources, guides, and books.

What We Have Created So Far

One of our most important works is the Derweshi Rah book.

This book is a beginner-friendly guide to understanding Tasawwuf through the light of Quran and Hadith. It was written for people who want to understand the Derweshi path without confusion, exaggeration, or leaving the boundaries of Islam.

The book explains topics like:

  • spiritual restlessness
  • Tasawwuf and Shariah
  • who a true Derwesh is
  • how to start the journey
  • nafs and its traps
  • zikr and the life of the heart
  • love of Allah
  • common mistakes in Tasawwuf
  • modern youth and spiritual breakdown
  • books and resources
  • daily life spirituality
  • dua, sabr, trials, and returning to Allah

Fitna Feed

We also created Fitna Feed, a book focused on one of the biggest hidden problems of our time: social media addiction, scrolling, algorithm traps, wasted time, and spiritual numbness. Many people do not realize how their feed is shaping their thoughts, desires, habits, and emotions. The algorithm slowly pulls people into distractions, comparison, lust, useless content, and endless scrolling. Before they realize it, hours are gone, focus is gone, and the heart becomes weak.

Fitna Feed helps readers understand how social media apps and algorithms pull them into a cycle that becomes difficult to escape. It also gives practical ways to protect the heart, control screen time, clean the feed, and return to a more conscious way of living.

Zikr Guide

Before these books, we also shared a short Zikr Guide. It is a simple 10-page guide for morning and evening azkar. It was created for people who want to start zikr but do not know where to begin. The goal was to make daily remembrance of Allah easy, accessible, and practical.

Why This Website Was Created

After the growth of the Instagram page, we realized that our audience needed one proper place where everything could be found easily. That is why we created this website. This website is designed to become a central platform for everything related to Derweshi Rah:

Our Mission

Our mission is to make the path of inner purification simple, accessible, and practical for people who are searching for Allah. We want to help people understand Tasawwuf in a balanced way, rooted in the Quran and Hadith, and connected to real life.

Our mission is to support those who are struggling with:

  • spiritual confusion
  • social media distraction
  • nafs
  • loneliness
  • overthinking
  • lack of consistency
  • guilt after sin
  • weak connection with Allah
  • lack of direction
  • emotional and spiritual tiredness

We do not claim to be scholars. We are students, learners, and seekers. Our goal is to research, organize, simplify, and share what can help people return to Allah with clarity and sincerity. For religious rulings and detailed fatwa matters, we always recommend consulting qualified scholars.

Our Vision

Our vision is very personal and very clear. I wandered for years looking for direction. I searched, read, questioned, and struggled. I do not want another brother or sister to wander the same way if they can find guidance, structure, and support in one place.

Derweshi Rah exists so that a person searching for spiritual direction can find:

  • where to start
  • what to read
  • how to make zikr
  • how to fight the nafs
  • how to reduce scrolling
  • how to return after falling
  • how to build daily discipline
  • how to understand Tasawwuf safely
  • how to connect poetry with real inner change
  • how to bring spirituality into daily life

Our vision is to build a platform where people can access both free and paid programmes, books, PDFs, templates, guides, and sessions that help them walk toward Allah with more clarity.

What Derweshi Rah Stands For

We believe that poetry can open the heart, but Quran and Sunnah must guide the path. We believe that spiritual content should not only make people feel something for a moment, but help them become better in real life. A true Derwesh is not someone who runs away from the world completely. A true Derwesh is someone who lives in the world but does not allow the world to own the heart.

That is the spirit of Derweshi Rah.
